Bookmap is a cutting-edge trading platform that lets you visualize market liquidity. The website was quite outdated with tough user experience and a lot of information.
The first thing I did when I joined this project was conduct comprehensive testing. This included heuristic analysis, examining heat maps, and tracking where users were dropping off.
We identified the following:
1. The marketing page of the site was functional, but certain sections could be optimized to improve user retention, increase sales, and boost downloads of the free version.
2. The post-purchase experience was significantly weaker on the user cabinet pages, including downloading the software, accessing educational materials, and overall navigation.
Initiated the project by conducting a comprehensive heuristic analysis based on Nielsen’s principles to identify usability improvements.
Implemented a specialized analytics system tailored specifically for web design purposes, expanding the scope beyond traditional marketing analytics.
Employed heatmap services to analyze user interactions on the homepage, pinpointing areas where user engagement dropped off and identifying underperforming sections that required optimization for better functionality and retention.
We didn’t have the opportunity to speak directly with users, but we gathered hypotheses based on previous testing. We then created prototypes to test whether the user experience had improved.
Developed prototypes to visualize design enhancements and facilitate iterative improvements.
Conducted user testing sessions using Invision and Maze to gather real-time feedback and validate design decisions.
Utilized insights from user testing to refine and optimize the website design, ensuring a user-centric approach to improvements.
